Emilee Korach is a multimedia artist & fabricator who lives and works in Denver, Colorado. Though originally from San Jose, California, Korach was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, where art was always one of her biggest passions. After high school, Emilee returned to her California roots, moving to Burbank, California to pursue education in makeup and special effects. In 2014, Korach earned a Master Make-Up Certification from Make-Up Designory (MUD). Here, she was able to learn the basics of special effects makeup, including prosthetic application and paint, as well as fabrication, where she learned how to mold and cast her own sculpts of appliances.
Post-graduation, Korach continued to work with MUD, assisting incoming students learn life-casting, acting as a representative at makeup trade shows, and doing live special effects demonstrations at schools and conventions. Her connection with MUD led to many opportunities, including working on-set gigs and eventually landing a mold making position with Cinema Secrets, creating master molds for their Woochie prosthetics line. In between work, Korach took advantage of her surroundings, frequenting local theme parks and museums. This grew her love and ambition for a career in themed entertainment and immersive experiences.
In 2021, a call for a change of pace, scenery, and weather led her to Denver, Colorado. After spending many years on unfulfilling work, Korach decided to return to school and pursue higher education. In late 2023, she received an Associate of Arts degree from the Community College of Denver, with a focus in Studio Arts. That same year, Emilee began working at the Denver Art Museum, furthering her passion and experiences within a museum environment. In 2024, Korach enrolled at the University of Colorado Denver. Here, she majors in Art Practices and minors in Art History, blending her love for the creation of art and the history behind it. While attending CU Denver, Emilee has been able to return to her love of fabrication, expanding her skills in sculpture, mold making, casting, and casting, bringing designs and ideas to life. Korach embraces all things whimsical, interactive, immersive, and a feeling of escapism at a larger-than-life scale. She will receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts in late 2026.
